Feeding a hungry baby

Old #39 has stuck to her guns, she doesn't think she should be saddled with two babies, "Why there is not another cow out there who is feeding more than one!" I watched her tonight fight off her little boy who was determined to get a decent meal.

"I told you to get out of here!!"

This is her chosen child, #39B, the little girl.

Tough times call for touch choices, such as sneaking up from behind to get a snack.

That position carries it's own problems, you could get your head pooped on.

Or you lie in a pile of corn stalks and "M-A-A-A" very pitiful when I come in the pen to see how things are going. Then a warm bottle of milk appears magically and fills your belly.

And all is right in the world again.....until tomorrow.

  1. Ats2bad, I spose there's 2 much time between the loss of the calf some time ago, for an "adoption"...

  2. Yes, too much time has passed, it's not easy to graft another calf to a cow, we were just lucky that time with #29.
